Sunshine, blue light, pollution and overall skin-ageing factors can disrupt the natural pigmentation processes of the skin (known as melanogenesis) triggering an over-production of melanin. This can result in the formation of pigmentation marks of varying intensity resulting in an uneven complexion (visible, widespread or focused skin-imperfections).
